About USY

"USY is a Jewish Youth Group that brings together Jewish teenagers from around Orange County to have fun and learn Jewishly in a safe environment." ~ Jamie Cortez, President

The first thing to know is that USY is an international program, including 17 regions and at least 3 countries, with thousands of involved Jewish teens in grades 9 - 12 . Each Region is made up of several states or territories, and within those there are various chapters. We are the CBI Tustin Chapter Of Far West Region, USY.

USY is a place for Jewish teenagers to connect and make lifelong connections. This may sound too good to be true, but as a seasoned veteran of USY let me assure you that it’s true. On a chapter level, we will have several events every month that allow us to come together and have LOTS of fun. Some involve Jewish studies, some involve Israel, some involve social action, and some involve just going out and having a blast, but since you’re always with your best friends they're all amazing! Our chapter is unique in this way, for we are a tight-knit family and no one is left alone when we’re out having fun. We want to make everybody belong and enjoy themselves, and because of this the comfort level at events is always very high.

"I love going to USY, it is an amazing experience! Not only have you made life long friends but become more connected to Jewish tradition as well. Everyone is so close and loving and no one is ever left out! The people in our USY chapter are so kind, and I always feel accepted. I recomend it to all Jewish teens!" ~ Courtney Widerman, Rel/Ed VP
